Please update now.” on the top of your dashboard. while i am still trying to get used to the 2.3.x, WordPress 2.5 was officially launched 2 days ago on the 29th March, 2008. .. according to the launch info, here’s some of the tempting latest features:

Now Listening: James Blunt - Shine On heard a lot about Nintendo’s Wii, the revolutionary gaming console that has brought gaming onto another level, unlike the convenional game consoles, Wii is so much more than just pressing buttons on the controller pads. however, due to the not-so-popular factor of Nintendo, i’ve yet to have a chance to lay a hand on a Wii..
Finally, yesterday was my first ever time layed a hand on a Nintendo Wii… and frankly, with that little thing on your hand… once you start, you just can’t stop, the experience is so un-conventional !! .. playing duel-fighting game is no longer remembering how you gonna move your D-pads and memorizing the button sequence but punch forward. running forward in a sports game could mean physically running.. swinging a racquet or a club means you really need to swing your hands while holding onto the controller. .. gaming has become so energy draining and so much fun with Wii.. and with all the swinging, moving, running, dodging, you are actually exercising even without you knowing. i was blady sweating like mad after playing an hour with Wii in a fully Air Conditioned Room, imagine that ! i think i should put serious consideration into trading in my PS2 for a Wii..

Wii ROCKS !!!! i was seriously wondering why is Nintendo Wii is named “W.i.i.”, at first, it doesn’t really sound right.. however, after yesterday night, i finally know why it’s called a Wii.. .. because Wii makes you go Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ! . Now Listening: James Blunt - Give Me Some Love alright, since everyone is talking about facebook, as the usual me, i should talk about it as well. to catch up with the trend mah.. .. in fact, i’ve been playing around with facebook since it was opened to the general public as i have quite a handful of pals who live in the states. back then, it was still not a trend over here in Malaysia yet, max only 1 or 2 of them i know of are using it, and were never active. only until recently it has become such a hit that everybody is talking about it, i really wonder who started that trend. that simply reminds me of the friendster bubble few years back. in the beginning during the launch, not much people even know what it was, however, for goodness sake, it was like overnight, everybody including little kids has a friendster account, and people started to compete with each other for a larger number of friends, regardless of whether they actually know the fella they’re adding. some of them even to the extent of having up to 10 accounts just for the fun of having a super large groupies. surprisingly, not much people are talking about friendster nowadays. Friendster’s popularity is like suddenly going into a plunge. some of the people that i know of had even already deleted their friendster accounts. .. anyway, back to facebook, interesting enough, it indeed has a lot of cool features and a much more flexible user interface, personally, i find it much more interesting than friendster because the latter allows you to add and edit personal info, upload photos, start a simple blog and that’s it. whereas facebook allows you to have a lot more interaction, i guess we should give credits to the open API that allow developers to build light weight applications to increase its usability and interactions. to be honest, though most of the applications are craps, some of them can actually be pretty addictive. i myself is already addicted to Risk, (fluff)friends, TV Show Trivia… though stuffed with tonnes of little applications, the drawback is that it may seems too complicated and complex to interact with, put it in this way, there’re so damn blady many things you just don’t know where to start. but i guess it shouldn’t be a problem for any tertiary students who had or have been using their university’s student portal because it’s something similar. .. personally, it’s a pretty cool social networking site as it offers a wider range of functions and features, and it is a lot more well-rounded compared to other social networking sites. maybe due to the reason that it’s original design concept was an intra and inter school students information exchange platform. i just hope it don’t become another friendster, so badly abused by users to create nonsense groups and slowly becoming a spam platform. especially the photos sharing function. on another note, i hope the facebook admins will stand firm on their site design originality, i really love the blue and white layout, please don’t open up the layout API to third party so that they can’t mess around with it and come up with some disgusting and fucked up skin like friendster and myspace. so far, facebook is the best social networking site, not even Multiply that has better functionalities than friendster can beat it .. however, it just can’t stop me from wondering, what’s coming up next in Malaysian user scene when facebook has reached its diluted stage.. would it still be the general social networking sites holding the ground or will those objective oriented social networking sites take over the scene? maybe it could be Orkut since everyone is using google now.. or maybe it could be Netlog since it has a pretty cool interface. or it could even be twitter after everyone got sick of complicated social networking sites, who knows? .. ah well, there’s a whole list of social networking site here for you to ponder upon if you’d like to.. enjoy ! Hmm…. If you have been using Wordpress, you should know by now WordPress 2.3 is out a few days ago. with tonnes of new features as described, and the interesting native tagging support, blogging will become a whole lot more easier and fun due this release. i’ve already downloaded the 2.3 on the day it released, unfortunately, i simply have not find the time to upgrade it yet. Am now reading the installation and upgrade documentation. Will update again once i’ve fully migrated my blog to 2.3 and test out some of the new features. if you are interested, here are some other information you should check out just before you upgrade. WordPress Upgrade Preflight Check by SmithRUs (install this nifty plugin to check the compatibility of your current themes and plugins with 2.3) .. i just can’t wait to lay my hands on the new features. weeee….
