Ximplicity v2.0

The 3rd and i guess the last album from his “SUPER” trilogy. Gary Chaw has been one of my latest favorite singer, simply for his wide vocal range as well as his talents. as compared to some other Malaysian originated artiste, he is the only one so far who can not only sing well, but create, compose as well as experiment with music. he is, to me, not only a singer, a celebrity, but an artiste, a musician. for those of you who’ve heard his on-stage live performance like me, i’m sure you’ll be awed by his extraordinary live performing skill. personally, he is another person who is on par with my all time favorite MISIA, whereby both of their voices during live performances are as good as their studio recorded albums

due to my special love for jazz music, my personal favorite in this album is track 10 - 愛的弧度. it’s the perfect blend of contempt jazz with chinese lyrics, i hope he can produce more pieces like this in his upcoming albums… this fella, darn, he is good.

on an overall scale, however this is a pretty well done album, though they’re still some unavoidable commercialized factors in some of the songs, the overall result of his album to me has overcome the commercialized factors, that’s on a personal note. it’s up to you to decide. he has once again proved his ability in playing around and experimenting with music. and most importantly, he hasn’t fail me yet to tickle my urge for multiple music types in one single album, on a very personal note, it’s been a very pleasant experience listening to his album.

i’ve forgotten how many umpteenth times i’ve heard people said “i wished i could go back in time to …. ”

the past 2 weeks were hell, jobs after jobs, meetings after meetings.

and now, finally…. that’s right, i can finally have a short break from this Sunday till Chinese New Year

..

i just realized i haven’t been taking care of my room for quite a while since last December. it look very much like the ground zero of a nuclear war zone now. since Chinese New Year is just around the corner, i’ve decided it’s time for spring cleaning, because i’ll still be working next week, so it’s better that i do it bit by bit from now, else it will never finish… i just know myself too well

i’ve already started the spring cleaning process, starting from that pile of mountain high old letters and documents.

next up, i’m gonna re-arrange a little bit of the furnitures, throw away most of the can’t be used anymore wires and electronics that were around way back since i lived in Singapore, dump the age old documents as well as unusable stationeries away, bring in a few cupboards or racks to accommodate the exponentially increasing number of coke bottles and cigarette boxes as well as my huge collection of pirated DVDs and the collection of Music CDs that has been sitting quietly in that huge plastic box somewhere in the store room.

it’s time of the year again to throw the rubbish away and keep those that brings you good luck..

it’s also the time of the year to chuck away all those that reminds you of haunting memories but keep those that has brought you laughter and happiness…

was away to Ipoh over the weekend for 2 buddies’ wedding.

2 buddies whom i owed a lot to when i was still in Singapore.

they were one of the most sincere couples i’ve ever met, who always think of friends first instead of themselves.

this kind of buddies don’t come too often in your life, i’m glad i have them, as well as a few others.

i could still remember that worst night of my life in Singapore…

thank god they were there, they were the only 2 person who took a cab and rush to my place at 1am in the morning, sitting by the roadside and watch me got drunk, then cried like a fucked up slump as soon as they heard about the drastic news that almost destroyed me.

even if it was drizzling that night…

and even if it was a working day the next day which they have to get up at 6am in the morning…

i will never forget the warm hugs in the coldest and darkest night the both of you had given me, for the rest of my life…

just got back from Ipoh and realized that 超級星光大道 was on air, and this really old song of 陳小春 was being sung. suddenly, some pretty nostalgic memories came right onto me.
