was writing the travel log, and brain juice went dry.

so i decided to do something else…

and hence i ended up spending the last 2 hours revamping the site, for 2008.

..

it’s done 90%, there’re still a little bit of hiccups here and there.

somehow, the title isn’t changing, and the sidebars aren’t working that fine too..

gonna rest now, am pretty tired today after work.

..

Night Peeps, and happy new year.

you can look for me at Sunway tomorrow during the count down party, am working there.

Surprisingly, India is a very beautiful country.

it was a very mind opening trip to India, indeed.

the monuments, the culture, the people and the scenery altogether.

seeing all those suddenly reminds me that India is one of the oldest civilization in the world.

and by the way, i was only at Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. which is like only 1% of whole India. according to people who were there previously as well as the tour guide, there are a lot more in India to be discovered.

..

just in case you’re interested in some of the snaps i’ve taken during the recent trip to India..

here you go. SNAPS OF INDIA

from New York Times

RAWALPINDI, PakistanBenazir Bhutto, the Pakistani opposition leader and twice-serving prime minister, was assassinated Thursday evening as she left a political rally here, a scene of fiery carnage that plunged Pakistan deeper into political turmoil and ignited widespread violence by her enraged supporters.

Ms. Bhutto, 54, was shot in the neck or head, according to differing accounts, as she stood in the open sunroof of a car and waved to crowds. Seconds later a suicide attacker detonated his bomb, damaging one of the cars in her motorcade, killing more than 20 people and wounding 50, the Interior Ministry said.

News of her death sent angry protesters swarming the emergency ward of the nearby hospital, where doctors declared Ms. Bhutto dead at 6:16 p.m. Supporters later jostled to carry her bare wooden coffin as it began its journey to her hometown, Larkana, in southern Pakistan, for burial. In Karachi and other cities, frenzied crowds vented their rage, blocking the streets, burning tires and throwing stones.

Full story HERE.

It’s a very sad day, for the people of Pakistan, though Benazir wasn’t known to a lot of people here in Malaysia, but she should be remembered as the first female prime minister of a muslim state, and her fight for the concern of women’s social and health issues. though we are not sure that whether her policy on Taliban government was ever the right thing to do. the thing we are sure though. what had she gone through in order to become a political figure in a male dominated muslim state.

her life was an interesting one, for all we know, and it’s worth a read.

you can learn more about this figure in her WIKIPEDIA ENTRY, as well as the Washington Post.

..

The world will remember you, and the world will mourn for the lost of a great political figure.

so, is my 200 photos from the Egypt tour is going to be a 200,000 words long novel?

enjoy the images, travel logs will be in pages.

and please don’t mind the low quality of 3x optical zoom, 6.0megapixel Canon IXUS60, that was the best i could do, and all photos are enhanced using Picasa

..

and stay tuned, India’s images is coming up next.

it’s going to shock you, because India was never what you’ve been thinking it’s supposed to be. at least it wasn’t like what i thought it was.

got these 3 video clips off youtube and was jaw dropping shocked that it happened on the Christmas eve

no matter how much i dislike the police most of the times, i do pity the poor fellas patrolling Gurney Drive that night.

i really wonder what is the reason for celebrating Christmas nowadays has become. and since when throwing water bottles and spray cans become part of Christmas eve celebration?

this look more like a riot to me than a Christmas eve celebration

this bunch of brainless motherfuckers simply turned the beautiful gurney drive into a battlefield on a supposedly peaceful Christmas Eve.

..

think again..

why are you out there counting down to Christmas?

..

SHAME ON YOU, PENANGNITES

as expected,

it is indeed a lonely Christmas even though i was with a bunch of buddies.

..

Christmas as to me, was to be spent with the special someone and New Year Eve with a bunch of buddies.

it hasn’t changed for the past 9 years.

there’s going to be a little different this year, i knew it from the beginning when i chose to be single.

however, when it comes, it comes..

that blady sentimental thoughts just strike even if you know it’s coming right at you.

sorry peeps, i just couldn’t bring up the mood for this year’s celebration. it just struck me

..

you were away..

but, blame who?

..

while i was away, as i said, i know i’m gonna miss you a lot.

and the fact is, i did..

..

almost every place i went, i wished you were there to share the incredible moments.

i wished to hold your hands tight when the plane got caught in the air pocket and plunged.

i wished to tell you the epic love story of Shah Jehan and Mum-Taz Mahal when i was at Taj Mahal.

i wished you were there when i was at ruined Jaigarh Fort on top of Jaipur mountain, watching the setting sun.

i wished i could buy you a set of sari and see you dressed up while i was at the Agra textile factory.

and of course, to hold you tight in my arms in the chilling northern wind of the winter nights.

so many places and so many things, but all i could do was just wished.

..

and yet,

you’re so far away

even on the Christmas Eve, which i wished you were just here,

to share the joy.

..

Merry Christmas to you.

heard of your soon to come wedding, though not from you.

Congratulation is all that i wanted to say, and yet i don’t know how to tell you.

i don’t know what is the right word to say

i don’t know if i would put the words right

and i don’t know if i could open my mouth to say it when i see you, i haven’t seen you for quite a while now.

i’m not sure if there’s still speakable words.

.

perhaps, there’re too many sentimental reasons,

or perhaps it’s still too heavy for me to congratulate you and to wish you a happy marriage.

for goodness sake, never once in my life, to congratulate someone can be that tough

though it’s just a very simple word.

..

anyway,

CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR WEDDING

I WISH YOU THE BEST

AND ONLY THE BEST.

BECAUSE YOU DESERVE ONLY THE BEST OF ALL

finally, after 14 back to back days of inhaling dusty and polluted air, my respiratory system just gave up on me.

was down with very bad flu and cough on the last day of the India trip

i almost deafen myself by boarding the plane home with a very bad flu.

..

i guess i will take a rest for the next 2 days, while everyone is out celebrating Christmas.

and also to compile a whooping 1264 photos i took during the 14 days.

..

frankly speaking, i can’t wait to fly off again.

the life of a traveler and a loner suits me pretty well

most importantly, it’s been a good opportunity to learn to be a disciplined guy.

..

by the way, it’s going to be a lonely Christmas this year, i think.

that’s without you around.

ah well..

Merry Christmas !

and a Happy New Year too.

Happy Holidays Everybody !!
